Google Enhancing AI Overview Sharing Capabilities

Google is working to improve the sharing experience of AI Overviews and AI Mode responses in Search. VP of Product Robby Stein confirmed on X that new features are in development, potentially including a “share as screenshot” option. Currently, users can only copy text or export to Gmail or Docs. With AI Mode still in beta via Search Labs, broader sharing tools are anticipated during the upcoming Google I/O event. The shift aims to make AI-generated results more shareable and useful across platforms.
