Google Discover adds social media posts and follow buttons

Google Discover is being updated to include posts from social media platforms such as X, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts alongside standard articles. Signed-in users will now see a Follow button for publishers and creators directly in the Discover feed. When tapping a creator’s name, a dedicated hub will display their recent content across formats, giving users a preview before choosing to follow them. The new social content integration will roll out over the coming weeks, while the Follow feature is already live, expanding Discover into a more interactive and engaging experience.
